Located in Woodstock VT., Wild Apple was established in 1990 as a supplier of decorative art for the home, and now can be found around the globe at retailers, galleries, design projects, hotels, restaurants, and more. Today they are one of the leading publishers and licensors of trend-forward art in the world. Their complete catalog includes more than 3,000 fine art prints and over 15,000 images available for licensing and print on demand.
As a result of explosive demand, their existing business and production infrastructure was not sufficient to support their continued growth. We were brought in to review and analyze their requirements and architect a new infrastructure to support new, more efficient processes.
Their existing infrastructure included an older CRM system with limited functionality, an accounting system, and a production workflow ticket system, in addition to their website. In addition to each of the applications limitations, none of the systems were connected, which forced the employees to support the system rather than the system supporting the employees. It was also evident that a company whose core business was based on a library of images needed a good Digital Asset Management system (DAM).
The newly designed system introduced a new state-of-the-art CRM and DAM. The integration of both new and existing components created a solid infrastructure to operate and grow on. Additionally, the redesign of the workflows supported by the new system provided significant efficiencies across the entire company.
